Flood Advisory issued January 21 at 10:49AM MST by NWS Riverton WY

…The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Wyoming…

Shoshone River near Lovell affecting Big Horn County.

.An ice jam has been reported near the U.S. Highway 14 bridge west
of Lovell. Some flooding has been noted upstream from the jam, and
may cause some low-lying flooding along the Shoshone River from the
bridge to near Byron.

For the Shoshone River Basin…including Wapiti, Buffalo Bill
Reservoir, Lovell…elevated river levels are forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding caused by an ice jam is expected to continue.

* WHERE…Shoshone River above the Highway 14 bridge west of Lovell.

* WHEN…From this morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas
hovering around the 10 to 10.2 foot mark of the action stage
through at least this weekend.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:30 AM MST Tuesday the stage was 10.2 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to continue around the 10.2
foot bark before coming down some to 10 feet by Friday
morning.
– Action stage is 10.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
