* WHAT…For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold temperatures
combined with gusty winds will lead to wind chills as low as 5 to
15 degrees. For the Wind Advisory, northeast winds 15 to 30 mph
with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
* WHERE…Central Siskiyou County, South Central Siskiyou County,
and Western Siskiyou County. This includes Mt. Shasta City, Weed,
Yreka, Montague, and Happy Camp.
* WHEN…For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 10 PM this evening to
10 AM PST Sunday. For the Wind Advisory, from 10 PM this evening
to 10 PM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS…Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. Gusty winds will blow around
unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power
outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Winds will first become gusty at exposed
locations in the higher terrain tonight, then will be strongest
across the area during Saturday afternoon and evening.
