Winter Storm Warning issued January 23 at 2:51PM AKST until January 27 at 3:00AM AKST by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT…Heavy snow and mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 10 to 20 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35
mph.

* WHERE…Central Interior.

* WHEN…Until 3 AM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS…Travel is expected to become very difficult. Wet snow
combined with gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Rain mixing with snow leads to heavy, wet
snow that is difficult to clear and may result in tree damage.
Locally higher snow amounts are possible at high elevations
above 1500 ft where snow is not expected to mix with rain.
