Winter Weather Advisory issued January 23 at 2:51PM AKST until January 26 at 9:00AM AKST by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT…Snow, mixed precipitation, and above freezing
temperatures expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 12
inches are expected and snowfall is likely to be elevation
dependent with lower amounts in Fairbanks.

* WHERE…Fairbanks and Surrounding Hills.

* WHEN…From 7 PM this evening to 9 AM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…1 to 2 inches of snow is forecast by Friday
morning ahead of a rain and snow mix that begins by Friday
afternoon. Periods of mixed rain and snow continue through
Sunday morning before returning to all snow.
