Special Weather Statement issued January 25 at 1:09AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

Strong east to southeasterly winds will continue across the
the Matanuska Valley through Sunday afternoon as a potent storm
system moves through the region. Winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts to
60 mph are possible for the Knik River Valley and Palmer. For
areas west of the Parks and Glenn Highway Interchange, including
Wasilla, winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph are possible.

There will likely be multiple peaks and lulls in the overall
strength of the winds through Sunday, but they will largely
remain gusty the entire time.
