Flash Flood Watch issued January 25 at 10:34PM AKST until January 26 at 3:00PM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK

An avalanche was reported in Hatcher Pass with debris in the Little
Susitna River near the State Park Campground and flooding the area.

* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by avalanche debris in the Little
Susitna River along with additional rain and/or snowmelt is
possible.

* WHERE…Houston and Meadow Lakes and surrounding areas below
Hatcher Pass downstream along the Little Susitna River.

* WHEN…Through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Rapid river rises along the Little Susitna River.
Significant runoff and flooding of low land areas along the Little
Susitna River.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Avalanche debris has reportedly dammed the Little Susitna
River near the State Park Campground and is flooding the
area. This debris and ice jam can release quickly and cause
rapid rises downstream along the Little Susitna River.
Confidence remains low for the exact impacts that could occur
should the jam release.
