Meteorological Summary:
- Freeze Warningsand Cold Weather Advisories remain in effect across much of North Florida until 9:00 AM EST/8:00 AM CST this morning for sub-freezing temperatures and very cold wind chills.
- Areas of slick and icy conditions continue to be possible this morning across portions of North Florida where melting snow was able to re-freeze, primarily in locations that are mostly shaded.
- Mostly clear and dry conditions statewide today and tonight (near 0% chance of rain).
- Mostly sunny skies across North Florida will continue to aid in melting off the remaining snowpack on the ground.
- Despite improving conditions, roadways that remain shaded throughout the day still cannot rule out localized areas of black ice.
- High temperatures in the middle 50s to low 60s across North Florida, middle to upper 60s across Central Florida, and upper 60s to low 70s across South Florida.
- Locally sensitive wildfire conditions cannot be ruled out across portions of the North Florida this afternoon.
- Moderate risk for rip currents nearly statewide; high riskalong the Southeast Coast.
- Northerly to northeasterly winds near 5-15 mph with gusts upwards of 10-20 mph along the Peninsula and Keys.
- Low temperatures in the upper 20s and 30s across North Florida, middle 30s to middle 40s across Northeast Florida and the Nature Coast, middle 40s to low 50s across Central Florida, and low 50s to middle 60s across South Florida.
- Freeze Warningsissued across portions of the Suwannee Valley and Northeast Florida for tonight into Sunday morning as sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27-32 degrees are expected.
- Wind chills in the middle 20s to low 30s across much of North Florida overnight into early Sunday morning.
- Any partially melted snow, ice, or wet surfaces may refreeze again tonight across portions of North Florida, creating localized areas of black ice overnight into Sunday morning.
- Areas of patchy fog possible across portions of the state overnight into early Sunday morning.
