A frontal system moving into Prince William Sound early Monday
morning will result in an increase in south to southwesterly winds
and colder air moving up Cook Inlet on Monday. Sustained winds of
20 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 60 mph are possible from Homer
north to Nikiski early Monday morning through late Monday night.
Wave heights will also build across Kachemak Bay through the day
Monday, leading to rough surf around Homer Spit.
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown
around or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of
power outages. Use caution if you must drive.
