A strong cold front will move south across the area between 2 PM
EST and 10 PM EST. A heavy band of snow with snowfall rates of an
inch an hour will quickly move through the area along the cold
front. As the cold front passes, the wind will become northwest
20 to 30 mph and will cause considerable blowing and drifting of
the snow. There will be an hour or two of very low visibilities
below a quarter of a mile as this front passes through. When
travelling this afternoon into early evening, be prepared for a
rapid change in visibility and drive accordingly.
