Special Weather Statement issued January 28 at 4:55AM EST by NWS Gray ME

At 452 AM EST…An area of heavy snow showers was along a line
extending from near Lobster Lake to near Maidstone…and moving
southeast AT 45 MPH.

Locations impacted include…
Berlin, Littleton, Lancaster, Bethlehem, Colebrook, Lincoln, Jackman,
Eustis, Rangeley, Coburn Gore, Haverhill, Franconia, Kingfield,
Bingham, Andover, Carrabassett Valley, Errol, Grafton, Dixville, and
Stratford.

This includes Interstate 93 between mile markers 107 and 131.

This also includes…
Franconia Notch, Umbagog Lake State Park, First Connecticut Lake,
Kilkenny Ridge Trail, and Cannon Mountain.

* Winds in excess of 35 mph are possible with this area of heavy
snow showers.

* Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter mile in
this area of heavy snow showers making for hazardous driving
conditions.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
