For the Tygart Valley River…Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE…Tygart Valley River at Dailey.
* WHEN…From this evening to late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Sections of WV Route 219 and Georgetown
Road one tenth of a mile to the right of the river gage flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 6:00 PM EST Thursday the stage was 14.3 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:00 PM EST Thursday was 14.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 15.2 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early
Friday morning.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
15.6 feet on 05/17/1996.
