Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 2
Meteorological Summary:
  • Dense Fog Advisories will remain in effect until 9:00-10:00 AM EST across the eastern Big Bend and throughout West-Central Florida as dense fog conditions and low clouds have reduced visibility to ΒΌ of a mile or less at times this morning.
  • Foggy conditions throughout much of Northeast and East-Central Florida will gradually lift and dissipate by the early to mid-morning hours.
  • Dry and pleasant conditions can be expected across the state as high pressure sits over the Southeast U.S. (near 0% chance of rain).
  • High temperatures will reach the upper 60s to upper 70s this afternoon statewide.
  • Calm conditions and elevated moisture will give way to fog development and low clouds overnight and into early Thursday morning, with areas of dense fog possible.
  • Low temperatures will fall into the middle to upper 40s and low 50s across North Florida, low to middle 50s across Central Florida and middle 50s to low 60s across South Florida.
  • A moderate risk for rip currents persists along Panhandle and East-Central Florida beaches.
