Grainger, Hamblen, Hamilton, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson,
Knox, Loudon, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Morgan, North Sevier,
Northwest Blount, Northwest Carter, Northwest Cocke, Northwest
Greene, Northwest Monroe, Rhea, Roane, Scott TN, Sequatchie,
Sevier Smoky Mountains, Southeast Carter, Southeast Greene,
Southeast Monroe, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, Washington TN and West
Polk, and southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Lee,
Russell, Scott VA, Washington VA and Wise.
* WHEN…From Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– A storm system will bring multiple rounds of moderate to
heavy rain on Tuesday and again on Wednesday afternoon and
evening. This will bring two-day rainfall totals of 2 to 4
inches across the area with locally higher amounts. This
additional rainfall will likely result in areas of flooding.
