* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet and dangerous rip
currents.
* WHERE…West and north facing reefs of the Marianas.
* WHEN…Until 4 PM ChST Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized
beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers
away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Large, long-period north-northwest swell is
producing hazardous surf and dangerous rip currents. Surf and rip
risk could subside briefly later today, however, both are expected
to again build as another round of large swell moves into the
region. As the swell shifts more toward the north-northeast, surf
and rip risk will subside along west facing reefs.
