* WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.

* WHERE…Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
McCreary and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell, Clay and Knox.

* WHEN…Until 1215 AM EST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 849 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain has fallen across the advisory area.
This is likely leading to small stream flooding and flooding
of poor drainage areas. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Water is likely near crest or has crested on many small
streams and creeks, but continued runoff will lead to
elevated water levels. No additional rainfall is expected.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Williamsburg, Barbourville, Pineville, Whitley City, Indian
Creek, Wilton, Permon, Dishman Springs, Perkins, Clate,
Arkle, Rossland, Bertha Station, Woodbine, Swan Lake, King,
Louden, Gray, Rockholds and Gausdale.
