Flood Watch issued February 11 at 8:50PM CST until February 12 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Jackson MS

* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE…Portions of southeast Arkansas, including the following
areas, Ashley and Chicot, northeast Louisiana, including the
following parishes, Catahoula, Concordia, East Carroll, Franklin
LA, Madison LA, Morehouse, Richland, Tensas and West Carroll, and
Mississippi, including the following areas, Adams, Attala,
Carroll, Choctaw, Claiborne, Clay, Copiah, Grenada, Hinds, Holmes,
Humphreys, Issaquena, Jefferson, Kemper, Leake, Leflore, Lowndes,
Madison MS, Montgomery, Neshoba, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Rankin,
Scott, Sharkey, Simpson, Sunflower, Warren, Washington, Webster,
Winston and Yazoo.

* WHEN…Through 6 PM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Widespread 1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen across the Watch
area since this morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to
3 inches are expected through tonight through the day
Wednesday, and any heavy rain will quickly runoff to cause
flash flooding.
