* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet and dangerous rip
currents.
* WHERE…For the High Surf Advisory, along west and north facing
reefs. For the High Risk of Rip Currents, along west, north and
east facing reefs.
* WHEN…Until 4 PM ChST Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized
beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Large, long-period north-northeast swell is
producing hazardous surf and dangerous rip currents. Surf and rip
risk could subside briefly at times, however, another round of
large swell will move into the region. As the swell shifts more
toward the north-northeast, surf and rip risk will subside along
west facing reefs.
