Special Weather Statement issued February 11 at 5:48AM AKST by NWS Fairbanks AK

A strong area of high pressure building over the Arctic will
bring high winds and blowing snow to high terrain in the Interior
Wednesday afternoon through Friday. Winds will be particularly
strong over Dalton Highway Summits where gusts to 50 mph are
possible. Blowing and drifting snow along with low visibility are
expected over Dalton, Elliott, and Steese Highway Summits and
will make travel difficult.
