.Snow is expected to begin toward midnight tonight over western Iowa
spreading into central and eastern Iowa after midnight. While snow
is expected statewide, the highest snow accumulations will be over
portions of central and southern Iowa with 5 to 8 inches expected.
Snow covered and slick roads should be expected and create for
hazardous travel. Snow rates will generally range from one quarter
to three-quarters of an inch per hour. Visibility will be reduced in
falling snow and blowing snow will also create minor to moderate
impacts. The snow will taper off from west to east late Wednesday
afternoon into Wednesday evening.
