* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central Alabama, including the following
county, Tallapoosa.

* WHEN…Until 330 AM CST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 936 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Alexander City, Jacksons’ Gap, New Site, Goldville, Hillabee
Creek, Northern Lake Martin, Wind Creek State Park, Eastern
Lake Martin, Western Lake Martin, Daviston, Eagle Creek,
Horseshoe Bend, Horseshoe Bend National Military Park and
Hackneyville.

A low-amplitude west/southwesterly mid/upper flow pattern will prevail Days 4-6/Tue-Thu. South/southeasterly low-level flow across the western Gulf into the southern Plains will allow for northward moisture transport and daily diurnal destabilization. In the absence of any stronger shortwave troughs moving through the weak west/southwesterly flow regime, severe potential is uncertain and will likely be driven by mesoscale/local processes, precluding 15 percent probabilities at this time.
