Rip Current Statement issued February 13 at 3:42AM ChST until February 13 at 4:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU

* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet and dangerous rip
currents.

* WHERE…For the High Surf Advisory, along west and north facing
reefs. For the High Risk of Rip Currents, along west, north and
east facing reefs.

* WHEN…For the High Surf Advisory, until 4 PM ChST today. For the
High Rip Current Risk, through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized
beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Significant long-period north swell is
producing hazardous surf and dangerous rip currents along the
shores of the Marianas. This is also supported by a secondary trade
swell. As the north swell shifts more northeast and diminishes,
surf and rip risk will subside along all reefs tonight.
