Winter Weather Advisory issued February 12 at 2:53PM EST until February 13 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Upton NY

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around a glaze.

* WHERE…Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey,
and southeast New York.

* WHEN…From 7 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact this evening’s
and Thursday morning’s commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A mixture of snow and sleet is expected this
evening into the first half of tonight. The snow and sleet will
change to a period of freezing rain after midnight. Temperatures
are then expected to climb above freezing through mid-morning
Thursday with rain ending later in the day.
