* WHAT…Excessive runoff is causing nuisance flooding of low-lying,
flood-prone areas adjacent to the South Pacolet River and its
tributaries.

* WHERE…A portion of upstate South Carolina, including the
following county, Spartanburg.

* WHEN…Until 100 AM EST.

* IMPACTS…Nuisance flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to streams
and other poor-drainage areas, including farmland, parks,
greenways, boat-access areas, golf courses, underpasses, and
parking lots. Isolated, shallow flows over roadways is possible. A
few flood-prone, low-water crossings may become impassible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1044 PM EST, The S Pacolet River was cresting about 1 foot
above its bankfull (Action/Advisory Stage) level, resulting
in nuisance flooding of adjacent low-lying areas, especially
on Old Mill Rd.

resulting in nuisance flooding along the S Pacolet River…

The S Pacolet River crested at 9.29 feet. Recession back
below Action/Advisory Stage is expected just after midnight.

IMPACTS: Common, nuisance flooding of low-lying areas
adjacent to the S Pacolet River is ongoing. Old Mill Rd may
flood due to high flow and backwater effects from the
adjacent tributary Motlow Creek.
