Flood Advisory issued February 13 at 7:46PM EST until February 14 at 8:00AM EST by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive runoff continues.

* WHERE…A portion of western North Carolina, including the
following county, Henderson.

* WHEN…Until 800 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS…Nuisance flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to streams
and other poor-drainage areas, including farmland, parks,
greenways, boat-access areas, golf courses, underpasses, and
parking lots. Isolated, shallow flows over roadways is possible.
A few flood-prone, low-water crossings may become impassible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 734 PM EST, Runoff from last night’s heavy rainfall
continues to result in flooding of low-lying areas of the Mud
and Bat Fork Creek drainages.

resulting in nuisance flooding along Mud Creek…

Mud Creek crested at 13.37 feet.

IMPACTS: Common, nuisance flooding of low-lying areas
adjacent to Mud Creek is ongoing. The lowest elevations of
William H King Memorial Park will flood and floodwaters are
approaching the lowest elevations of the Oklawaha Greenway.
More expansive lowland flooding with nuisance impacts to
adjacent farmland, golf courses, and nurseries is ongoing,
especially upstream closer to Erkwood Dr.

– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Hendersonville, Mills River, Fletcher, Flat Rock, Mountain
Home, Laurel Park, Dupont State Forest, Valley Hill, East
Flat Rock, Crab Creek, Dana and Tuxedo.
