…The Flood Advisory is extended for the following rivers in
Kentucky…

Green River near Mammoth Cave affecting Edmonson County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Green River near Mammoth Cave.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Green River Ferry closes to RV and trailer
traffic due to high water. Heavy loads will be at the judgment of
the ferry operator considering the 12 ton load limit of ferry.
Backcountry camping on the Green River floodplain is prohibited.
At 20.1 feet, Launching of paddle craft is prohibited.
At 32.0 feet, Green River Ferry closes to all traffic due to high
water.
At 42.0 feet, Echo River Spring Trail and parking lot are under
water and not accessible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM CST Thursday the stage was 27.1 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall to 25.7 feet early Saturday
afternoon. It will then rise above flood stage early Sunday
morning to 41.5 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will fall to
41.4 feet Sunday evening. It will then rise to 41.6 feet
early Monday morning. It will fall to 38.7 feet early Monday
afternoon then rise again.
– Action stage is 20.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
