Flood Warning issued February 13 at 9:19PM EST until February 17 at 1:30PM EST by NWS Charleston WV

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kentucky…

Little Sandy River At Grayson affecting Carter and Greenup
Counties.

.Heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches this weekend will result in moderate
flooding along the Little Sandy River.

For the Little Sandy River…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Little Sandy River at Grayson.

* WHEN…From late Saturday night to early Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 22.0 feet, Affects the buildings next to river gage.
Also, water starts to flow onto Route 773 and in the Dixie Park
area just past I-64 bridge. State Route 1910 floods.
At 23.0 feet, Low spots on Route 773 and Jackson Road along the
river are flooded.
At 25.0 feet, Affects homes upstream along river and a low section
of Route 60 near the river gage. Backwater along streams and
creeks draining into the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM EST Thursday the stage was 16.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage early Sunday
morning to 25.4 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then
fall below flood stage Monday morning.
– Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
25.1 feet on 07/21/2010.
