Flood Warning issued February 13 at 9:21PM EST until February 17 at 10:21AM EST by NWS Charleston WV

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in West
Virginia…

Guyandotte River At Branchland affecting Lincoln County.

.Heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches this weekend will result in minor
flooding along the Guyandotte River at Branchland.

For the Guyandotte River…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Guyandotte River at Branchland.

* WHEN…From Sunday afternoon to late Monday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 28.0 feet, Payton Branch, Nine Mile Creek, Four Mile
Creek, and Hamilton Creek Roads begin to flood.
At 30.0 feet, Payton Branch, Nine Mile Creek, Four Mile Creek and
Hamilton Creek Roads are flooded. Esquire Drive and portions of
Health Creek Road are flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:30 PM EST Thursday the stage was 20.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Sunday afternoon to a crest of 32.9 feet Sunday
evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday
morning.
– Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
32.7 feet on 03/18/1963.
