…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia…

Flint River near Griffin affecting Fayette and Spalding Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Flint River near Griffin.

* WHEN…From late tonight to Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 10.0 feet, Bankfull conditions occur along the river
upstream and downstream from the gage at Georgia Highway 16 or
Newnan Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:45 PM EST Thursday the stage was 10.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tonight to a crest of 13.5 feet tomorrow evening. It
will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
13.5 feet on 02/07/2020.
