Flood Warning issued February 13 at 9:35PM EST until February 14 at 10:32AM EST by NWS Peachtree City GA

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia…

Broad River near Broad River above Carlton affecting Madison,
Elbert and Oglethorpe Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Broad River near Broad River above Carlton.

* WHEN…Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 17 feet, Minor flooding continues into the woodlands
and fields along the river upstream and downstream from the gage
on the Georgia Highway 72 bridge. A sand dredge operation on the
left bank near the gage is flooded. A large portion of Roy Wood
Road is flooded with several feet of water and the Broad River
Outpost for Canoes and Kayaks location is under water. Flooding of
the yard behind an assisted living home off of Roy Wood Road will
continue.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:45 PM EST Thursday the stage was 17.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 PM EST Thursday was 17.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tonight and continue falling to 4.7 feet Tuesday
evening.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
15.7 feet on 03/25/2020.
