* WHAT…For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, heavy freezing
spray at a rate of 2 cm per hour or greater occurring, and may
rapidly accumulate on vessels. For the Small Craft Advisory,
southwest winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and waves 1
to 4 ft occurring.

* WHERE…Black River to Ontonagon MI and Ontonagon to Upper
Entrance of Portage Canal MI.

* WHEN…For the Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, until 7 AM EST /6
AM CST/ Friday. For the Small Craft Advisory, until 4 AM EST
/3 AM CST/ Friday.

* IMPACTS…Operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is
hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic
components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and
superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of
stability. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.
