* WHAT…Wet snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 2 inches.

* WHERE…Southern Salt Lake and northern Utah Valleys, mainly above
4500 feet.

* WHEN…Until 11 PM MST this evening.

* IMPACTS…Winter driving conditions are expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow will persist across southern Salt Lake
and northern Utah Valleys above 4500 feet through the remainder of
the evening hours. Warming temperatures should result in a
changeover to rain late this evening or tonight. Elevations below
4500 feet have largely changed over to rain this evening.

At 531 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Crossroads, or 7 miles west of Poplarville. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Poplarville. This includes Interstate 59 in Mississippi between mile markers 30 and 42.

At 531 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hazlehurst, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe storm will be near... Martinsville, Crystal Springs, Gallman, and Hazlehurst around 535 PM CDT. Hopewell and Georgetown around 600 PM CDT. Rockport around 610 PM CDT.
