Flood Advisory issued February 14 at 7:32PM CST by NWS North Platte NE

…The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Nebraska…

North Platte River at North Platte affecting Lincoln County.

.An ice jam will cause water to infiltrate the lowlands along the
river.

For the North Platte River…including North Platte…elevated river
levels are forecast.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by an ice jam continues.

* WHERE…North Platte River at North Platte.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 6.0 feet, Minor flood stage. Minor flooding begins in
low lying and agricultural areas along the south bank of the North
Platte River. Flooding of yards between the golf course and
Buffalo Bill Campground are possible. Minor water intrusions into
low lying areas of Cody Park in North Platte begins. People should
use caution in the water and along the banks of the river,
especially near Cody Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 PM CST Friday the stage was 5.5 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight and continue rising to 6.0 feet
just after midnight tonight. Additional rises are possible
thereafter.
– Action stage is 5.6 feet.
– Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
