Green River near Mammoth Cave affecting Edmonson County.
.Heavy rain on Saturday will cause the river to rise.
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE…Green River near Mammoth Cave.
* WHEN…Until further notice.
* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Green River Ferry closes to RV and trailer
traffic due to high water. Heavy loads will be at the judgment of
the ferry operator considering the 12 ton load limit of ferry.
Backcountry camping on the Green River floodplain is prohibited.
At 20.1 feet, Launching of paddle craft is prohibited.
At 32.0 feet, Green River Ferry closes to all traffic due to high
water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 PM CST Friday the stage was 23.8 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall to 22.7 feet tomorrow morning.
It will then rise above flood stage early Sunday morning.
– Action stage is 20.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
