Alabama…

Big Nance Creek at Courtland affecting Lawrence County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Big Nance Creek at Courtland.

* WHEN…Until early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Lowland flooding begins on the left bank
of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 PM CST Friday the stage was 13.8 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 PM CST Friday was 17.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river will continue falling to 11.0 feet by
early Sunday morning. After additional rainfall, it will then
rise above flood stage late Sunday evening and to 15.0 feet
early Monday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.8 feet on 10/07/2021.
