…The National Weather Service in Birmingham AL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Alabama…

Tombigbee River At Demopolis Lock and Dam affecting Sumter,
Greene, Hale and Marengo Counties.

.Heavy rainfall forecast through Sunday in addition to flow from the
previous rains may be enough to generate minor by Sunday over the
Tombigbee River basin. A flood warning is now in effect for the
Tombigbee River.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Tombigbee River at Demopolis Lock and Dam.

* WHEN…From early Sunday morning until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:15 AM CST Friday the stage was 62.8 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Sunday morning and continue rising to a crest of 68.9
feet early Monday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 68.0 feet.
