Weather Advisory, wintry mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
and sleet accumulations between 5 and 7 inches and ice
accumulations up to one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as
35 mph.
* WHERE…Southern Herkimer County.
* WHEN…From 4 PM Saturday to 1 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Slippery conditions could still exist tonight
due to light additional snowfall on any untreated surfaces. Winds
turn strong Sunday night into Monday with gusts reaching up to 30
to 40mph. Strong winds combined with any ice on trees could result
in isolated to scattered power outages.
