Cold Weather Advisory issued February 15 at 9:31PM CST until February 16 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Grand Forks ND

* WHAT…For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills from
30 below to 40 below expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch,
dangerously cold wind chills as low as 53 below possible.

* WHERE…Benson, Cavalier, Eddy, Nelson, Pembina, Ramsey, Towner,
and Western Walsh Counties.

* WHEN…For the Cold Weather Advisory, until noon CST Sunday. For
the Extreme Cold Watch, from Sunday evening through Tuesday
morning.

* IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…There may be a period where wind chills
become warmer than 40 below zero Monday afternoon before dipping
again Monday evening into Tuesday morning.
