The National Weather Service in Charleston has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Central McDowell County in southern West Virginia…

* Until 315 AM EST.

* At 104 AM EST, gauge reports indicated flooding across the warned
area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for the Tug Fork near Welch. This
is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT…This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of
low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Welch, Gary, Davy, Keystone, Kimball, Coalwood and Elbert.

The Tug Fork has crested, however, ongoing water rescues have been
reported recently.
