Flood Warning issued February 15 at 11:42PM EST until February 17 at 6:26AM EST by NWS Morristown TN

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Virginia…

Clinch River At Cleveland VA affecting Russell, Scott and Wise
Counties.

For the Clinch River…including Cleveland VA, Speers Ferry VA…
Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Clinch River at Cleveland VA.

* WHEN…Until Monday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, Water begins to affect a few houses
immediately along the river downstream from the ballpark, flooding
approximately 25 acres. The ballpark is mostly inundated.
At 19.0 feet, Water affects a few houses both on Main Street and
adjacent to the ballpark entrance, and approximately 35 acres
about two miles up- and downstream from the Highway 82 bridge.
At 21.0 feet, The water treatment plant and several houses are
flooded, along with about 100 acres in the area around Cleveland.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:00 PM EST Saturday the stage was 18.9 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:00 PM EST Saturday was 18.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.5
feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early Monday morning.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
