Flood Warning issued February 16 at 12:25AM EST until February 16 at 6:30AM EST by NWS Charleston WV

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Portions of central and southern West Virginia, including
the following counties, in central West Virginia, Nicholas. In
southern West Virginia, Boone, Fayette, Kanawha and Raleigh.

* WHEN…Until 630 AM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1225 AM EST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Fayetteville, Babcock State Park, Oak Hill, Montgomery,
Chesapeake, Marmet, Mount Hope, Ansted, Belle, Cedar Grove,
East Bank, Glasgow, Smithers, Gauley Bridge, Pratt, Hawks
Nest State Park, Powellton, Bradley, Burnwell and Piney View.
