Special Weather Statement issued February 15 at 10:15PM CST by NWS Lake Charles LA

StormPrep

At 1015 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Melville to 7 miles west of Pecan Island.
Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Butte La Rose, Youngsville, Lydia, Acadiana Regional Airport,
Atchafalaya National Wildlife Refuge, Jefferson Island, Forked
Island, Delcambre, St. Martinville, Arnaudville, Carencro, Coteau,
Kaplan, Intracoastal City, Breaux Bridge, Henry, Cade, Meaux, Weeks
Island, and Cecilia.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 94 and 126.
Interstate 49 between mile markers 1 and 9.
