Cold Weather Advisory issued February 16 at 1:39PM CST until February 17 at 12:00PM CST by NWS North Platte NE

* WHAT…For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 22 below expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold
wind chills as low as 32 below possible.

* WHERE…Portions of north central and northwest Nebraska.

* WHEN…For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight CST /11 PM
MST/ tonight to noon CST /11 AM MST/ Monday. For the Extreme Cold
Watch, from late Monday night through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes,
and hypothermia will occur with prolonged exposure. An extended
period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.
