Extreme Cold Watch issued February 16 at 6:28PM CST until February 18 at 10:00AM CST by NWS La Crosse WI

* WHAT…For Monday morning’s Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind
chills as low as 35 below expected. For Tuesday’s Extreme Cold
Watch, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below possible.

* WHERE…Portions of north central and northeast Iowa, southeast
Minnesota, and central, north central, and west central Wisconsin.

* WHEN…For the Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to 11
AM CST Monday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from late Monday night
through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures.
