Extreme Cold Watch issued February 16 at 9:11PM CST until February 18 at 10:00AM CST by NWS Duluth MN

* WHAT…For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 35 below zero expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously
cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero possible.

* WHERE…In Minnesota, Cook and Lake Counties. In Wisconsin, Price,
Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn
Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band,
the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Grand Portage
Reservation, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band,
the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation and the Bad River Reservation.
Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore
and Madeline Island. This also includes the Boundary Waters
eastern and central area.

* WHEN…For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 10 AM CST Monday. For
the Extreme Cold Watch, from late Monday night through Tuesday
morning.

* IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
