Warning for the following rivers in Florida…
Apalachicola River near Blountstown affecting Franklin, Calhoun,
Gulf and Liberty Counties.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Apalachicola River near Blountstown.
* WHEN…From Monday evening to Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, John Redd Road in Calhoun County will
begin to flood one half mile west of the boat landing, restricting
access to the area. The lower portion of the boat ramp in
Blountstown floods at this level.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:15 PM EST Sunday /7:15 PM CST Sunday/ the stage was 16.3
feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 17.2 feet early Thursday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday
morning.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
17.3 feet on 07/08/2013.
