…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in West
Virginia…

Coal River At Tornado affecting Boone, Kanawha and Lincoln
Counties.

For the Coal River…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Coal River at Tornado.

* WHEN…Until tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS…At 27.0 feet, Coal River Road is flooded in several
places along river. Smith Creek Road and Ferrell Road are
impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:15 PM EST Sunday the stage was 27.7 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:15 PM EST Sunday was 28.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river has crested and is expected to fall
below flood stage late tonight and continue falling to 11.6
feet Friday evening.
– Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
27.9 feet on 04/05/1977.
