high as 45 mph. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, heavy lake
effect snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations
1.5 to 2.5 feet in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting
as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE…Wayne and Northern Cayuga Counties.
* WHEN…For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 1 AM EST Monday. For
the Lake Effect Snow Warning, from 1 AM Monday to 6 AM EST
Wednesday.
* IMPACTS…For the Winter Weather Advisory, power outages and tree
damage are possible due to previous ice accumulation and the
strong winds. Travel could be difficult. For the Lake Effect Snow
Warning, visibilities will occasionally drop below 1/4 mile due to
falling and blowing snow. Travel could be nearly impossible in
areas of falling and blowing snow with near whiteout conditions at
times. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday and Tuesday
morning and evening commutes.
