accumulations an inch or two. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning,
heavy lake effect snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow
accumulations 9 to 18 inches in the most persistent lake snows
across far southern sections. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE…Lewis County. The lake effect snow will mainly affect far
southern portions of the county.
* WHEN…For the Winter Storm Warning, until 1 AM EST Monday. For
the Lake Effect Snow Warning, from 1 AM Monday to 6 AM EST
Wednesday.
* IMPACTS…For the Winter Storm Warning, power outages and tree
damage are possible due to previous ice accumulation and winds.
Travel could be very difficult. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning,
heavy lake effect snow is expected. Travel will be difficult in
areas of falling and blowing snow with near whiteout conditions at
times. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday and Tuesday
morning and evening commutes.
