SHOWERS CONTINUING IN THE MOUNTAINS…
.Low pressure moves away tonight, but upslope snow showers continue
across the mountains on Monday.
* WHAT…Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch
for a storm total of 8 to 15 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40
mph.
* WHERE…In Maine, Central Somerset, Northern Franklin, and
Northern Oxford Counties. In New Hampshire, Northern Coos and
Southern Coos Counties.
* WHEN…Until 5 AM EST early this morning.
* IMPACTS…A snowstorm will bring plowable snow to the region with
a period of moderate travel impacts expected. Periods of moderate
snow and low visibility will be the biggest hazards. Strong gusty
winds behind the departing storm will allow the freshly fallen
snow to blow and drift. Localized periods of near zero visibility
in open areas will lead to hazardous travel conditions.
