.The Big Muddy in Jackson county will Crest Friday Morning then is
expected to fall below flood stage early Sunday.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Big Muddy River near Murphysboro.

* WHEN…From late Wednesday night to late Sunday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1:30 PM CST Tuesday the stage was 19.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Thursday morning to a crest of 23.2 feet Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
morning.
– Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

A low-amplitude west/southwesterly mid/upper flow pattern will prevail Days 4-6/Tue-Thu. South/southeasterly low-level flow across the western Gulf into the southern Plains will allow for northward moisture transport and daily diurnal destabilization.
